Poetry & Poetics
The Poetry & Poetics Working Group is coordinated and funded by the Department of English.
The Poetry & Poetics Working Group is a graduate discussion group and event series which focuses on poetic form across disciplinary and temporal boundaries. Though we are especially interested in twentieth and twenty-first century poetry and contemporary critical work in English, we also host and encourage interdisciplinary conversation between non-Anglophone and comparative literatures, new media, cinema studies, the sciences, and the visual and performing arts. Our group is coordinated and funded by the English Department at the University of Pennsylvania, but extends into a larger community of poets, critics, and scholars engaged with contemporary poetics in Philadelphia and elsewhere.
Our coordinators are Timmy Straw, Julieta Vittore Dutto, and Lauren Bakst. To request additional information, please contact them at: Timmy Straw (timstraw@sas.upenn.edu), Julieta Vittore Dutto (julietav@sas.upenn.edu), or Lauren Bakst (lbakst@sas.upenn.edu).
