The Graduate Executive Committee

The Graduate Executive Committee (GEC) is chaired by the Graduate Chair and is composed of three faculty members appointed by the Graduate Chair and two graduate students (the president of the GEA and the academic representative).

The Committee's function is to confer and advise on all matters concerning the Program: admissions, program changes, field examination and Dissertation proposals. Student opinions are welcomed on this committee, and representatives are encouraged to suggest agenda items. However, student members do not attend meetings, or portions of meetings, concerned with individual students already enrolled in the program.
