Contemporary US Poetry and Experimental Writing

ENGL 1093.301
instructor(s):
TBA

This course surveys the recent field of US poetry and mixed-genre works. We will read about 8 short works of both established and emerging writers published in the last 3-5 years and take up a couple of new anthologies. The idea is not so much to reach conclusions about "what is going on in poetry" as to participate in an ongoing conversation about what poetry is today. We will listen to a lot of recordings and have a few visitors. Attendance at 2 readings will be required.

Please see Professor White to enroll into ENGL 1093.301 at 2:45pm Thursdays, in room 321.4 FBH
