"Remote Intimacies: Multilingualism in Contemporary Poetry"
Assistant Professor, University of Washington Bothell
In addition to my scholarly work, I maintain an active profile as a poet, editor, and organizer. My first book of poetry, Security Posture, was the recipient of the Robert Kroetsch Award (Snare, 2009), and excerpts of a more recent project are included in the anthology I’ll Drown My Book: Conceptual Writing by Women (Les Figues, 2011).
My poetry has appeared in many American, British, and Canadian journals, and my translations of contemporary Russian poetry are forthcoming in Fence and World Literature Today.
While at Penn I have was closely involved with the Kelly Writers House, where I curated the Emergency Reading Series, and where I hosted North of Invention: A Festival of Canadian Poetry.
I served as the co-coordinator of two departmental reading groups, Gender and Sexuality, and Poetry and Poetics.
