Courtney Rydel received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Pennsyvlania in May 2012, and then taught for one year as a Lecturer in the Critical Writing Program at the University of Pennsylvania.  She is now an assistant professor of English at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland.
