Catherine Turner is the author of Marketing Modernism between the Two World Wars (University of Massachusetts Press: 2003) and is currently completing a book tentatively titled Reading in the Welfare State. In addition, she is co-editor with Greg Barnhisel of Pressing the Fight: Print, Propaganda and the Cold War (University of Massachussetts Press, 2010). Her research interests include the history of publishing and reading as well as also cultural attitudes toward literature. Currently she serves as Senior Associate Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Penn.
