Film Screening of I, Black Woman, Resist, a short documentary film project honoring the life and legacy of Afro-Brazilian feminist activist Marielle Franco, followed by a discussion with the Dr. Sharrelle Barber, filmmaker and Director of the Ubuntu Center on Racism, Global Movements, and Population Health Equity and Marilene Felinto, Brazilian author and renowned journalist and CLALS Distinguished Visiting Scholar. Hybrid. Part of the LASA Center Director Section Series on Indigeneity, Afro-Descendants, and other marginalized populations in Latin America.
