The Department of English joins our colleagues at the Price Lab and the Penn Libraries in mourning the death of our friend, former student, and cherished colleague, Scott Enderle, who passed away on September 11, 2021. Scott was a 2011 graduate of the Penn English PhD program, a valued colleague at the Price Lab and Penn Libraries, and a friend to a number of us. You can read our tribute page to Scott on the department website and, if you wish, share a reminiscence of him there, to be passed along to his family.

Sasha Renninger of SAS Computing is organizing a colleague memorial service for Scott on Thursday, October 21, from 3 - 5 p.m. on the Penn Museum roof deck (3rd floor). You’ll find details below and the full invitation here. A larger, more formal event involving Scott’s family will likely take place in the spring, but all are invited to this more casual gathering.
