This pedagogy seminar is required for all second-year graduate students, who will be TAing and running discussion sections for one of the large 100-level courses. Each TA group will meet with its respective faculty member on a weekly basis to discuss assigned readings (usually a few articles on the course readings and/or on some aspect of pedagogy). The majority of the seminar will be devoted to planning the Friday recitation sections, discussing course texts and teaching methods, and managing pedagogical issues as they arise during the semester.
