Carmen Lamas is a Visiting Scholar with the Latin American and Latino Studies Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Before coming to Penn she taught at Amherst College and Columbia University. Dr. Lamas is completing a book project that addresses how race impacts national identity in Cuba and its U.S. diaspora from a transamerican and transnational perspective.
