Chris Mustazza awarded Penn Prize for Excellence in Teaching by Graduate Students
March 25, 2019
Chris Mustazza has been awarded a 2019 Penn Prize for Excellence in Teaching by Graduate Students, a University-wide award. He was nominated by the students of his course, Poetry Audio Lab: Modern Poetry and Sound Studies, which was a first-of-its-kind course at Penn. The students worked hands-on with recordings of poets reading their own work, making remixes and recording podcasts, in pursuit of the question of what modernism sounds like. The award recognizes the special experience that came of collective experimentation and new formats of learning.
