Prof. Grogan will talk about her recent first book, Stitch, Unstitch: Modernist Poetry and the World of Work (Columbia UP, 2025), followed by a discussion. We are circulating the Introduction and Ch.4: 'Reproducing Gertrude Stein' for reading (which can also be found in the Mod/Con page). This event is open to everyone and will be of particular interest to those working on poetry, Marxism, feminist theory, and questions of labor.
