Penn Summer Abroad in London will allow you to spend 5 weeks in one of the most dynamic and diverse cities in the word while earning credits towards your degree!

While in London, you will take three classes:
ENGL 1899: London Theatre Experience
Students attend, discuss, and write about live theatre performances and meet with London theatre professionals.
Fulfills sector 6 of the English major; sector III Arts & Letters of Gen Ed
ENGL 2420: British Film History and Culture
An introduction to the history of British cinema from early pioneering days to the present. Students view representational films, meet with film industry professionals, and visit theaters and studios.
Fulfills sectors 2 & 6 of the English major; CIMS 2429
ENGL 1600: Cultures of the Book
This immersive course introduces students to the history of making, collecting, and exhibiting books in London’s extraordinary libraries and museums.
Fulfills sectors 1, 3, & 4 of the English major; sector IV Humanities and Social Sciences of Gen Ed
