This workshop will review the basics of planning an academic event, both the practical aspects of room reservation, advertising events, poster creation, etc. and some best practices for making events run smoothly. A good portion of the workshop will go through Concur reimbursements and how to make an expense report.

This workshop will be tailored to working group coordinators and GEA leadership, but EVERYONE is welcome and encouraged to attend. I strongly recommend that at least 1 coordinator from each group attends to get the information and ask questions relevant to their group.

The workshop will be held in-person, with a live stream as well. Virtual attendees will be able to ask questions during Q&A. Zoom link below. The slides and information will be circulated after the workshop to the listserv.
