Please mark your calendars for the 14th of July, and consider joining us at noon that day for the
public portion of Sam's dissertation defense.

Sam will introduce his terrific project, "After Men: Modernist Adventure and Post-Patriarchal Work,” which follows the twentieth-century afterlives of adventure plots into modernist fictions that represent newly configured queer, feminist, and post-patriarchal definitions of work.

After the presentation and discussion, we will phase into a celebratory drink at approximately 1pm, so please also feel free to prepare a sparkling beverage in honor of Sam's sparkling scholarly achievement.
