Please join Brooke Stanley and her committee members for her dissertation defense at 11:00 AM on July 13th in the Grad Lounge on the third floor of Fisher-Bennett Hall.

The private portion of the defense, where the candidate confers with her committee, will run from 10:00 until 11:00. Then the event goes public, and Brooke will launch into a presentation on her compelling and timely project, ”The Global Environmental Novel and the Politics of Food." This will be followed by discussion, Q & A, and, around 12:00 or 12:30, a celebration of Brooke's work and her time with us here at Penn. 

 Please join us for an exciting discussion, champagne, delicious refreshments, and, not least, a well-deserved toast to a completed Ph.D. dissertation and its author. Come one and all!
