The dissertation’s titled “Feeling Past Politics: Affection, Settlement, and the Disciplines of Civil Society in Early Anglo America, 1620-1682.” You’ll learn a little about life within an early modern colonial settlement, a little about a historically specific experience of feelings, and perhaps take away a good story about the Pilgrims to share at the Thanksgiving table come fall.
