The Graduate Asian American Studies Program will discuss the introduction essay to the journal Verge, edited by Tina Chen at Penn State, and a literary analysis by Colleen Lye (Berkeley) examining the impact of the rhetoric of "the rise of Asia" on Asian America with a rigorous economic-materialist reading of Ed Park's Personal Days.
Snacks will be provided.
