Sponsored by the Asian American Studies Program at the University of Pennsylvania, the Graduate Asian American Studies Group fosters intellectual exchange among graduate students and faculty regarding the movements of people, thoughts, and commodities between the broadly conceived geographic entity of "Asia" and the Americas across all time periods. We welcome participants from all fields and disciplines, such as literary, area, ethnic, gender/sexuality studies, anthropology, sociology, history, and political theory. We host monthly reading discussions and invite speakers to share their work in progress.
