Osman is Assistant Professor in the School of Media and Communication at Temple University as well as one of this year's Penn Humanities Forum Regional Fellows. Her film documents her return to post-9/11 Afghanistan after many years of familial separation caused by the national fracture and turmoil during the Cold War. Complex questions about identity, loss, memory, Cold War and War on Terror politics are front and center in this documentary film
