English 410 is a creative  writing workshop focusing on creative nonfiction
and poetry. The mode of  the class is immersion and modeling. We read.  We
consider. We write  stories and poems that respond to the writers we read.
Modes of creative  nonfiction, narrative, structure, aspects of style and
punctuation are  studied. The „This American Life‰ radio program is used as
a model for  your creative nonfiction essay. The goal of the workshop is to
submit  one revised „This American Life‰ essay and a suite of poems in a
final  portfolio of revised work.
