English major Kennedy A. Crowder named one of Penn’s two 2022 Marshall Scholars

Congratulations to English major Kennedy A. Crowder, who has been named a 2022 Marshall Scholar. Kennedy is currently writing a thesis in the English Honors Program. In summer 2020 she created Black Penn English, a discussion space and support group for Black members of the English Department, and in 2021 she won the inaugural English Department Community Award. With Marshall support she plans to pursue a master's in Black Humanities at the University of Bristol, followed by a second master’s in English and Related Literature at the University of York.
