Jeanne Vaccaro has been awarded a 2016 Art Writers Grant for her forthcoming book Handmade: Feelings and Textures of Transgender. Co-supported by Creative Capital and the Andy Warhol Foundation, Arts Writers Grants are given annually to critics, novelists, and scholars who work with contemporary art. Previous book recipients include Maggie Nelson, Eileen Myles, and Gary Indiana.
