Taking a structural lead from the turn of this century anthology American Women Poets in the 21st Century (edited by Claudia Rankine and Juliana Spahr), we’ll look closely at the poems, statements on poetics, and criticism of and about Mei-Mei Berssenbrugge, Wanda Coleman, Eileen Myles, Alice Notley, Joan Retallack, Claudia Rankine, Juliana Spahr, Myung Mi Kim. Weekly response papers and final 10 page paper.
