We will read women modernists poets (Gertrude Stein, Mina Loy, Marianne Moore) as well as contemporary women (Juliana Spahr, Harryette Mullen, M. NourbeSe Philip, Lisa Robertson) who have shown and continue to show the challenges and benefits of thinking in new ways about both poetry and gender.
