Department of English

This course will survey British poetry from the Neoclassical period through
the Modernist period.  We will be reading a variety of major poets
including Pope, Gray, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Keats, Shelley, Arnold,
Tennyson, Christina Rossetti, Swinburne, Hardy, Yeats, and Eliot.
Requirements include 3 critical papers and regular contributions to class
discussion.
