Mike Tidwell

Mike Tidwell has written three books, including a memoir of his years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Congo and an adventure travel book about visits to an Amazonian tribe fighting oil companines in the rain forest. He currently travels the world on assignment for the Washington Post Travel Section. His travel articles and essays have also appeared in National Geographic Traveler, Travel Holiday, The Christian Science Monitor, and elsewhere. His first collection of travel essays will be published by Lyons Press in the fall of 2000, titled Sir, With Your Hair We Will Spear the Big Animals.
