Dr. T. Mera Moore Lafferty (aka Mera Moore) has taught courses in English and Asian American Studies, Comparative Literature and Literary Theory, Film, and Theatre Arts at Penn since Fall 2001. Currently a postdoctoral Penn Writing Fellow in the Critical Writing Program, her area of specialization is literature, performing arts, and film by immigrant authors and directors. She has published on the immigrant playwrights Ursule Molinaro and Bina Sharif, and she is co-editing a book of plays, screenplays, poetry, and prose by authors of Islamic heritage: The Muslim Diaspora in English Literature
