Marsha Fausti

Marsha Fausti received her BA and MA from Georgetown University where she taught for four years in the Community Scholars Program, a program sponsored by the University for Minority Student Affairs. She is completing her doctoral dissertation, entitled Negotiating the Family Nation: Gender, Race Reunion and the Exchange in Mulatto Fictions, at the John Hopkins University. Professor Fausti specializes in African American literature of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Her teaching and research interests also include American literature of the same period, contemporary African American literature, and gender and cultural studies.
