Caitlin McGrath

    Caitlin McGrath is a doctoral candidate in the Committee on Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Chicago. Her research interests include the relationship between film and architecture at world’s fairs, exhibition culture of the nineteenth century, early cinema aesthetics and film style in the late silent era.  Her dissertation considers the relationship between the cultural conditions of modernity manifested in spaces of display and their relation to film style, especially camera movement, in late silent film.
