Please join us for a virtual book talk event on June 10th, featuring New York Times bestselling author, Stephen Fried, on his book, RUSH: revolution, madness, and Benjamin Rush, the visionary doctor who became a founding father.

Fried's talk, entitled "Rediscovering Benjamin Rush, Yellow Fever & the Revolutionary Early Days of Penn Medicine," will focus in part on Penn Medicine history as well as the 1793 Yellow Fever epidemic.

The Penn Libraries’ Biomedical Library book talk series features Penn authors and beyond. We are delighted to collaborate with the Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books and Manuscripts to feature Stephen Fried, who teaches in both the Penn English Department and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and who used Kislak Center collections to conduct research for his book.
