Professor Al Filreis (Kelly Family Professor of English, Director of the Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing, and Faculty Director of the Kelly Writers House) has been featured in Philadelphia magazine for his popular poetry course on Coursera, Modern & Contemporary American Poetry (aka “ModPo”). In a little over 10 years of ModPo online, Filreis has reached more than 180,000 students around the world.
