The World of Work

While the topic of this course varies from semester, its subject is always
the relation between literature and socio-economic realitites: political,
economic, social, and of identity. Past versions of English 105 have
included "The World of Work," "Disability Narratives," and "Conflict in
Print." Each devotes a number of weeks to the economic and social theories
underlying its given subject in order to provide students with adequate
background.
