Poetry Writing Workshop
Bob Perelman profile

T 1:30-4:30

We will focus on student work, of course: students will write their own poems & read each other's carefully. But we will also focus on reading a wide range of contemporary & modernist work, both poetic and critical: the point will always be to extend the student's range & ambition. Students will be encouraged to write what they want & will be asked, in addition, to try various formal exercises in response to their reading.

Students interested in the course should submit samples to Bob Perelman by placing them in his mailbox in the English Department office 119 Bennett Hall. Please include social security number, class status, E-mail, and daytime phone number.
