Chloë is a doctoral student pursuing research in early modern literature. She graduated summa cum laude from Saint Louis University with a BA in English, History, German, and Medieval Studies. She then completed a Masters in English (1550-1700) at the University of Oxford. Her Masters dissertation, titled "'ruinous heapes of stones': The Remaking of English Monasteries in Antiquarian Literature," analyzed how antiquarian writers like William Camden and Michael Drayton negotiated ways for monastic ruins to exist within their staunchly Protestant landscape. She is interested in the relationship between literature, history, and environment, focusing on what this intersection can tell us about how previous generations thought about their pasts.
