DoubleSpeak is the University of Pennsylvania’s journal for poetry in translation. Founded in 2012, our annual journal celebrates a range of languages, cultures, and countries through thoughtful curation of poets across centuries and around the world.

The 2026 debut of DoubleSpeak includes three new languages as well as a gorgeous essay on the Arabic word for 'blessing,' written during a Penn English class by Mariam ElNaggar.
