Playwriting Workshop

This workshop is dedicated to the writing and study of plays and texts for live performance. Students will read plays and learn about dramaturgy and the playwriting process. The bulk of the class will be dedicated to writing and sharing original scripts and scenes. This course is taught by a professional writer who will help the students to engage with the form of the play, while also developing their own voice and style. Class time will be dedicated to discussion of readings, in class writing exercises and the reading and workshopping of the students’ plays, monologues and scenes.
