Rick Warner, Jr.

Rick Warner received his Ph.D. in Critical and Cultural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. He is an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the Penn Humanities Forum for 2011-2012. He is co-editor (with Colin MacCabe and Kathleen Murray) of the book True to the Spirit: Film Adaptation and the Question of Fidelity (Oxford University Press, 2011) and guest editor of the Critical Quarterly special issue, “The Late Work of Jean-Luc Godard” (October 2009). He is the author of articles on the films of Chris Marker and on the late video projects of Jean-Luc Godard. He is currently at work on a book concerning cinematic uses of the essay form.
