Every January, the Writers House planning committee combats post-holiday doldrums with Mind of Winter, a celebration of the season’s comforts inspired by Wallace Stevens's poem, "The Snow Man.” Thursday, January 31, at 5:00 PM, we’ll gather here at the Writers House, stoke a big fire in the parlor, simmer big pots of warming soups and stews, and share our favorite winter-themed readings with one another. This year’s readers include: Ashley Barrett (C’19), Perren Carillo (C’19), Devin Esch, Amber Rose Johnson (G’21), Jay Kirk, Lilli Leight (C’19) — and Al Filreis leading a discussion of “The Snow Man.” Let it snow!
