This talk considers the problem of the boundedness of utopia in relation to historical, philosophical, and literary developments since the 1970s. It will draw upon theoretical work by Fredric Jameson, Robert Nozick, and a number of other political philosophers as well as a series of novels including Chang-Rae Lee’s On Such a Full Sea.​
