Reading session for the Graduate Asian American Studies group at Penn (works by Lisa Lowe)

We'll discuss two pieces of writing by Lisa Lowe, who will give the Departmental Lecture the following day. We'd love to have you as part of the discussion.
The first reading is a chapter from Lowe's second book, which is one of the founding texts of Asian American studies: Immigrant Acts (1996). The second piece is a chapter from Lowe's latest book, The Intimacies of Four Continents (2015).
