Bradford Young's work filming "Selma" and "A Most Violent Year" has made him one of the year's most talked about cinematographers. Part of an exciting new wave of independent African American filmmaking, Young has received a number of awards for his stunning visuals that tell stories of family, violence, and diaspora across Black communities from New York City to rural Mississippi.
