To subscribe to the History of Material Texts listserv, you should address an email message to

	majordomo@english.upenn.edu

Leave the subject line blank, and type in the body of the email message

	subscribe hist-book

That command will automatically add your email address to the list. 
You unsubscribe in the same way, except that the instruction should read

	unsubscribe hist-book

Within a few minutes, you should receive an automatic message from the listserv program, telling you
that your request was successful. If the request fails for any reason, you can email help@english.upenn.edu, and they will add you to, or delete you
from, the listserv manually.
