  Mark Adams's central teaching and research interests focus on the  history of biology, the institutional history of science, science and  politics, the history of Russian science and technology, and science  fiction. Dr. Adams is fluent in French and Russian, loves classical music, and is a science fiction fan. He founded Penn's Van Pelt College House and created one of the country's first college courses on the  history of science fiction. He received three degrees from Harvard.
