Seminars

Seminars are numbered at the 500-level and the 700-level.

Seminars at the 500-level involve a variety of written assignments spaced out across the semester. Undergraduates may be admitted, at the discretion of the professor.

Seminars at the 700-level are more specialized and advanced. A full-length (20-25-page) research paper is generally required, and students often present part of their research to the seminar.

MA students must take at least one 700-level course.
PhD students must take at least five 700-level courses.
