Writing Seminar for Interational Students: Concept of the Double
Brett Wilson profile

MTWR 10:40-12:15

This course offers practice in reading, speaking, and writing in English for students whose first language is not English. As an initial university-level writing course, some emphasis on the fundamentals of English grammar and composition, with a consideration of common errors, will be taken up during the semester. In composition, students will be writing analytical essays on literature; they will also learn essay techniques for taking examinations on literature. In the beginning of the course, frequent short assignments will be given; later, the topics are increasingly technical and sophisticated requiring longer essays.
