Jerry Denno profile

MWF 10

Our class treats a selection of the major British writers, from the Middle Ages to the seventeenth century, taking account also of the most important cultural contexts of each work, but stressing close readings of specific texts, including selections from Chaucer's The Canturbury Tales, Renaissance dramatic and lyric poetry, and Milton's Paradise Lost. Course requirements include three short critical essays (5p), two presentations (1 single spaced page each), and a final exam.
