Advanced Expository Writing

English 135 is primarily a workshop in the informal essay. Most of
the class time will be devoted to analyzing and evaluating student
writing . Essay topics will include character profiles,
autobiographical events, and travelogues among others. You will be
required to write every week. The course will stress writing which is
clear, well-organized and interesting in style. Readings from texts
will be assigned as well and discussed in class. (See note following
English 113.)
