This course is designed to introduce graduate students to some of the key texts of literary and cultural theory that have influenced the study of English in
the last few decades. We will consider representative theoretical and methodological statements in the following fields: Formalism, Structuralism,
Deconstruction, Marxism, Psychoanalysis, Feminism, and Cultural Studies.
