This is a full-service hotel on the University of Pennsylvania campus, only 5 minutes walk from the conference venue and a short walk from Amtrak 30th Street train station. A block of 30 rooms has been reserved for conference participants at a rate of $179.00/room/night. The hotel features large, comfortable guest rooms with private bath, a heated outdoor pool, and a restaurant.
Rooms can be shared at no additional cost. Each room has two double beds.

CENTER CITY PHILADELPHIA
This is the bustling center of Philadelphia, filled with hotels, businesses, and restaurants, about 25-30 minutes walk and 10-minute bus or cab ride from the University of Pennsylvania. The hotels are generally very expensive, but the Latham is a good deal:

SOCIETY HILL
This is a very beautiful area of the city with many historical attractions, including Independence Hall, Colonial brick houses, and cobblestone streets. Most accommodations in that area are very pricey, but the smaller hotels and B & Bs sometimes have good deals.
Society Hill is 35-40 minutes walk from the University of Pennsylvania and a 15-20 minute bus or cab ride.
